Colder weather reduces velocity...

I wonder what the difference in muzzle energy is with a 75fps loss? Certainly enough to make a cartridge much less effective.
:slap::p

No, but it WILL screw up your ballistics at long ranges. And as said in earlier posts, it can be way more than 75 fps.

VERY CONSTRUCTIVE POST....GLAD to SEE it DID NOT GET DELETED?....like the OTHER ones....

Very nice to see that POT-STIRRERS have FREE REIGN to INSTIGATE and start TROUBLE....but when someone RETALITATES....the MOD POLICE COME out and start deleting.

PLEASE DELETE THAT POST AS WELL...it is CLEARLY ARGUMENTATIVE...and adds NOTHING to the thread....and was purposely intended to start TROUBLE?

WAAAAAY to go again....CGN...is #1!

I HOPE one day....when I am all growed up...and I have 15,000 USELESS posts on my sig....and I can have FREE reign over this FORUM too.....

GATEHOUSE...your truly are a GOD on CGN FORUM and I salute you.....and your 15,000 USELESS posts.

Hey, just asking a question...75fps might downgrade a cartridge. Sorta like turning a 7mm RM into a .270. You sure take stuff personal...

PRIME EXAMPLE....

15,000 posts of USLESS DRIVEL....

I am too busy to type...going fishing instead.........some people ACTUALLY do spend time in the GREAT OUTDOORS:eek:....unlike YOU and YOUR 15,000 posts in 4 years time:runaway:???

ALL DAY LONG at the COMPUTER?
;)

YOUR not worth my time or the aggravation.:D

You sure are an angry fellow..

"a load I had worked up in 15c degree weather became over pressure at 30c"

Been there, done that. It's another variable you have to keep in mind for hunting loads, but except for extreme weather swings, it won't change things at reasonable ranges. If you shoot long, check your sight in and grouping at both warm and cold temperatures. - dan

 Sigh....alas some things are learned the hard way. That action was real difficult to open, primer just fell out once I got the case out (with a rod)....Those Model 70's are pretty tough cookies :)
