Collection check...how am I doing? Pics added, 56k warning.

yup.... that sux!! i really like the looks of the mossin nagants. cant wait to shoot it

When you do fold a small facecloth/gun rag so that you can set it on your shoulder as a riflebutt pad of a few inches thick. :D

As I doubt Russians ever wore T-shirts during winter combat, they had thick padded coats, and that metal but plate is to protect the rifle not your shoulder. :D

ahh come on you just need to build up some scar tissue on your shoulder

i also think the recoil is the last thing a russian soldier would complain about on the eastern front

Update

I just wanted to write in and let everybody know how I'm doing. Pics next week or so when I get everything in.

Incoming or have in hand:
1) 91/30 PU scope, mount and base. I got it from a place in MI called General Zhukov or something like that. Easy to deal with, $209 all in.
2) M44 from Navy Gunner (thanks much!! :D )
3) K98k and M91/30 incoming from P&S Militia.

Still need:
1) Bend bolt handle to finish my repro 91/30 sniper rifle.
2) LE #5 JC
3) Cooey M82 Trainer Canadian
4) 1903A4 Springfield (proper scopes for WW2, Korean/Vietnam scopes considered)

You've got to be kidding me! I think I just got wood... yep I did.

Guess I have to add my cheezy .25c worth on this now. I am always interested in main battle equipment. The stuff the average grunt would have carried.
This is the US wall, with a little Norwegian thrown in for my ancestory. I tried for the WW1 through present lineage.

Here is the main wall. Pretty well everything on this wall was made in Canada, except for the Snider Enfield, BSA No1 Mk3*, and the Sten. However the Snider and the No1 are Canadian issue marked, always looking to buy a Longbranch Sten. I was trying for main rifles from Confederation through today. I still need something between the Snider and the 1910 Ross. I forgot the 08 pattern sabre and scabbard. It was Brit/Wilkenson made BUT it is marked B Squad LSH:D 12-17.

And here is the remainder of the wall hangers. Mostly enemy combatants of the Allied powers, with the exception of the Israeli stuff.

I've got all the shooters in racks and shelves in another part of the room. And maybe one more wall hanger to add in the future.

Holy Crap guys!!!! I don't think I'll ever have that many firearms! I'll be happy when I've got my last three. I know I know...they won't be my last. but for right now they will have to be. I was thinking. Seeing as how I'm only going to have between 1 and 3 arms/country, I was going to mount each country's arms in a case with the country flag in behind. What do you guys all think?
