collet barrel bushing

Anyone know where I could find a collet barrel bushing to replace the factory one on a Nork 1911.

Would somebody like ARMCO carry something like that?

I wouldn't install a collet barrel bushing. Install a standard barrel bushing from the makes like Ed Brown, Wilson Combat, EGW. I prefer the EGW bushings.

Brownells carries them.

mind if I ask why you would stay away from a collet?

The fingers can break and catapult your bushing, spring, plug down range.

Colt stop using them beginning with the Series 80 guns.

You gotta find someone with a whack of them in the parts box & they'd be willing to part with one....

Just look at the wide selection of (non-collet) barrel bushings in Brownells. Once you decide on what you want, ask your vendor of choice to get it for you.

There are really no advantages to the collet bushing that can't be had better with a fitted solid bushing, and the solid bushing will wear eventually, but it won't break.
