Here's a genuine KFC boxlock, from before they got into the chicken business.
Of course, the KFC in this case indicates the Kawaguchiya Firearms Company of Tokyo, Japan. This early 1960's (??) example is a copy of the archetypical Birmingham Anson & Deeley boxlock. Well executed in both metal and wood fit, the gun weighs in at a hair under 6 1/2 lbs. The case colour hardening is quite nice, but the colours in the saved - for - the - web photos are a little bright on the blue end of the spectrum.
I think the good Colonel would have approved the use of this gun over southern plantation quail.
