I've just purchased a kimber 84 rifle off the EE. It's a blued rifle wearing the greyish montana stock. I'm not a huge fan of the grey stock, especially with blued metal. Give me some suggestions and pictures of colour options for the stock that look good with blued metal.

When I owned synthetic rifles I enjoyed the look of snow camo and forest green (dark green). I haven't owned a tupperware rifle for at least five years and now I'm think of going full circle with a Weatherby Accumark V in a snow camo. There are many tastes out there in stock designs, colour and camo..................it's what pleases you which is important.

I have several synthetic stocked guns that all came in black. (None of them are expensive, fine guns.) I thought it would be nice for handling them when out on hot, sunny days to have them in colours that wouldn't heat up so much. I painted their stocks with Krylon's camouflage ultra flat, using solid single colours. Two are in the tan, one in brown, one in olive green. The one I did in green and one of the tan ones have their metal finished in matte black parkerizing. The other tan one and the brown one have glossy blued metal that is almost black. I like them all as they turned out, but I think the olive green stock wouldn't have looked quite right with nicely blued metal, or any gloss metal finish. (I did the brown one first and topped it off with a clear satin matte. I don't dislike it, but didn't feel it was worth the trouble with the rest.)

Keep in mind that these are options that I can PAINT the stock. Optifade camo and colour patterns that are blended into the stock are a little difficult to achieve with a can of spray paint

Tan with Black webbing is what I have been thinking of from the start, i just wish someone had a pic to post so I could see. I do like that tope colour with thye speckles on chuck's gun though....
