Hi everyone, I think I’ve found an antique I like, a Colt Model 1892 New Army & Navy made in 97. Only issue with this one is that the bore has some corrosion inside. I’ve attached the picture here, from all my research this may affect accuracy but since it looks minor it should be okay to shoot. Can I get some other opinions from those who have dealt with this before? Thanks!

It will lead faster, but should shoot ok. - dan

A good scrubbing would help plus JB Bore paste also. A lot of that crap would be gone. Rifling looks fairly crisp. As was mentioned lead will build up faster than an un pitted bore but I've seen much worse that still shot decent.

That level of corrosion is not uncommon with black powder ammo use. It just means the gun was actually used back in the day. On the plus side you have some very obvious rifling. 1892 Colts were kind of marginal martial revolvers and not particularly renowned for their accuracy anyways. OP don't worry about it just load her up, shoot and enjoy.

Thanks Dan, that’s the feedback I’ve heard so far. Cylinder has 1.5mm of play you think that’s too much for a colt? Or acceptable
They are a 'loose action' at best. I've had about 4 go through my hands...2 89's and 2 92's.
I'm sure the 92's must have been tight at one point...didn't age well though.
They never changed from the 89 style lock up...they just cobbled on 2 additional lockup systems and called it 'improved'
Huge difference between the 92 and the New Service, I can sound off on that anyhow.
The bore should be OK to shoot IMHO
