Colt 1903 Hammerless

Hey guys,

I recently purchased a few firearms from a gentlemen, and one piece I was unable to acquire (not 12(6)) was a mint condition, all original colt 1903 hammerless, made in, yup, 1903. It had a part silver, partly blued magazine, and was in pristine condition. I told him since I was unable to purchase it, I would find the value of it, and a buyer for it. I am basically just wondering what this pistol is worth? I am unfortunatly unable to get pictures.

Lots of info on the net about those pistols if you try a search engine you will find some for sale. I saw one for 675 on one websight but not sure if its the right one but will pm you a link to it and the pic.

Unless they have some proven historical providence +/or come with original box/papers the above is not too far off the mark.

dream- If my government trusted me enough, I would have reams of Colt 1903 and 1908's. I would be the go-to expert on them, and everyone would love and adore me....../dream.

As it is, I don't have any, but I feel for you ArtyMan. I agree, the Hammerless, while a nice gun, probably won't get the gentleman more than what was quoted. Maybe $400 if its minty, never shot, in original box with accessories and such.

I have quite an early one, looks like it was carried on the bottom of someones boot but man is it ever comfortable to shoot and quite accurate.

The 675.oo one could be a military marked one as a few where
issued to officers , quite rare
There is also another 1903 model, not the pocket pistol
as shown above, that is more money.

The model you are referring to is the Model 1903 Pocket .38ACP. It was a hammer model in .38ACP [not .380 ACP]. And yes, it is quite a bit more money if you can find one in nice shape.

That would be the Model 1903 Pocket Hammer, often confused with but different than the Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless
