COLT 1911 - 22 Any news on arrival date?

Any dealers have any news on when the Colt 1911 .22 rimfire will be available? And for how much? Who will be carrying it?
It's supposed to be a licensed replica through Umarex USA. I have no idea who these guys are but I'll be checking into it. So if it's a licensed replica will it really be any better than a GSG for instance? Worth whatever extra they charge for having Colt stamped on it?
Any info please. I want one.

If is a licensed replica I do not want it. I think its the same deal as the Colt Umarex M4 22LR. I handled one of the colts (Umarex) and the quality wasnt there compared to the Smith and Wesson. Dont get your hopes up. I guess it all depends what your looking for.

I was afraid of that. I know nothing of umarex so .....

Are you saying Smith and Wesson makes a 1911 in .22lr? I'm off to check now.

It's made by Walther and distributed by Umarex under licence from Colt. There is another long thread on this here somewhere.

If it's like other Colt 1911 models don't hold your breath. Trying to get anything particular in Canada without going to the expense and hassle of importing it yourself requires the patience of Job and the lifespan of Metheuselah.
