A new find I saved and cleaned up.. a 1911 NAVY ,Just got back a Colt letter to confirm her history. A rare find as most navy pistols ended up in Davey Jones locker at the bottom of the sea

Barrel is vey good but may be a replacement WW2 the only flaw on this pistol is the back site on slide was damaged and repaired with a ww2 site .But still a rare find I know of no others in Canada. I have seen lots of Model of the US Army but never a Navy Model and most are a ball of rust and pits

The slide does take a little away from value But considering its a very rare gun and over all condition it still holds a mid range value of five out of ten. These guns sell from 1500 a ball of rust to ten thousand. Any one else got one in Canada I think not, I was going to get it rust blued but advised to leave her alone .
Value can only go up...She's over one hundred years old and still takes a good photo

Back in the day, Allen Lever got 45 colts from the DDR. They came from Cuba. There were Army and Navy ones.
