If memory serves it's what Colt refers to the series 80 1911's as.

Thank you. That looks good. To me, most of the treatments that various makers and tuners do to improve the 1911 look "busy" and leave me wondering if there is real improvement. That one looks authentic. Colt should always strive for that.

I also wanted a ''military style'' 1911a1 to use as a shooter. I have more time than money so I bought a used Norinco 1911 and I refinished it. I also modified the safety lever, replaced the hammer, sear and plastic grips. Still not an exact replicas of a WWII 1911a1 but I can live with it.
