So ah...here I am with my latest DA revolver, an Anaconda with a 6 inch barrel.

And ah, I am just wodering if any fellow CGNs have this same sixshooter & for how long?

Perhaps a few impressions from owners/shooters, of such colts would be greatly appreciated....

thanks! :)

Had one, it's gone now. It was a very accurate revolver, had an excellent trigger. The heavy weight soaks up some of the recoil. Down side is the timing will go out, mine sprayed lead in my face. Overall it's a good choice, it won't let you down!

Actually Colt makes some great revolvers, and the Anaconda is a good one. Unfortunately they've severely cut back on production of pretty much anything that isn't AR or 1911 oriented, so not a lot of new stuff coming from them. In their day, they made stuff that was at least as good if not better then anything S&W ever made. - dan

Update; At the indoor range today I had a great day shooting the Anaconda.

SA shooting, smooth as can be...no spray of lead out the sides.

DA shooting, no timing issues to speak of, and actually using DA firing, of 44 special, I had a group of six shots in under 1.5 inches....

No problem with factory full house magnum loads either...
Accuracy-wise I would say it's equal too, the Dan Wesson Model 44 for grouping ability.

Cheers

Great purchase indeed!

Colt Anaconda

I bought a Colt Anaconda last year made in 1995 fired only a few times from the 1st owner, with the remaining ammo first bought with the gun.Just had to have it. fired several different hand loads as well as factory.A fun gun to fire works like a charm and looks good on my coffee table.
