Colt 6920 hand guard options??? Easiest install?

I'm not worried that I can't install the more difficult hand guards , it just that I don't have the right tools to do so. I'm just trying to piece together this Colt upper so that I have an AR, it's only going to get a bit of paper punching as that's all that I have available. I'm trying to keep the cost down but still have half decent gear.
 
If you want to keep costs down and won't be adding any other accessories than I'd just stick with regular M4 style handguards or the SL Moe if you want to grip it a little further out. Save your money for ammo.

I've got an M4 hand guard ordered and a MI K series mid length hand guard on the way as well. If I don't like the m4 style, I'll shave the FSP and install the MI.

If I decide to shave the FSP, will this decrease the value of the gun?
 
The DD Omega 7" (carbine) picatinny handguard is a drop in that requires no alterations to the upper and is free floating. Takes just a few minutes to install and no special tools required. If you aren't planning on adding a bunch of accessories, you really don't need an 11" or 14" rail. That’s extra weight and expense for little gain. The DD offers enough real estate for a light, AFG or vertical grip and has integral QD points. If you're running an optic, the FSB won't interfer and you can return to the original factory condition if you decide to sell. Try selling an upper with a hacked down FSB and you'll be lucky to get pennies on the dollar.
 
I won't be adding anything on the hand guard , well a sling maybe.The only reason I was looking for something different was mainly to do with an optic. I thought the FSP would interfere.

Anybody looking for a good deal on a MI Kseries mid length hand guard...

And I won't be cutting the FSP
