Last one I saw was still in a box, I tried hard to buy it but nope, they are rare.

Yes $$$$$ up around the 1k usd and I saw one for 5k usd.

I owned an Ace 22 Conversion Kit for my Series 70 Colt Government. The Colt Government I owned was a POS and so was the Ace Conversion Unit. I sold both for what is now a bargain ($700 US) and I have never looked back. My prejudice against these two has taught me there are better 22s than an Ace. Can I mention one? Yes, the CZ75 Kadet 22 Conversion Unit for one. regards, Richard :D

While I've never owned a complete "Ace" I have had a couple Colt .22 Conversion Units over the years. I've had a much different experience with them than 'Richard' above.

If mounted on an appropriate 1911 lower that has a nice trigger they are very accurate, indeed. I currently have one set up on a WWII vintage Colt USGI 1911A-1 frame with a Videcki aluminum trigger. Goes to the range with me nearly every trip. It is a pleasure to own & shoot.
