I have a 1st gen Anaconda that was my Dad's and it's been a solid gun, accurate and durable. It has eaten a pretty consistent diet of 300-325 gr cast bullets and has performed very well since he got it in '92.
Interesting story - I didn't like the Pachmayr grips that it came with so I called up Hogue who only made their custom wood mono-grip for the Anaconda at the time, and asked about their finger-groove rubber grip only to be told that they weren't making them yet. I ordered a laminated grip and gave them the credit card number and sat back to wait. Some time later I received a package from containing my wood grip as well as a rubber mono-grip and a hand-written note from Guy Hogue himself thanking me for my purchase and stating that they had included the first rubber Mono-grip off the production line. I was always a fan of Hogue, more so after that interaction...
I'd like to take a look at the 2.0 for sure...
