My cousin showed me today his Colt AR 15. It says A2 model on it. He would like to sell it , but has no idea what the going price for it these days. I myself do not have much experience with AR's, so I could not help him. Can anyone suggest a price range for this rifle in excellent condition?

I assume it looks somewhat like this? A2 upper, standard barrel profile (I think an HBar is pictured)?
If so, maybe $1100ish?

Quite correct, that's an HBAR model (just like mine
).I think that 1100-1300 is a fair price if the rifle is in good shape and comes with a sling and a couple of magazines.
