Colt AR15A2 Sporter Parts/Upper receiver

Hi all,

I hope that this is the proper form for these questions, if not, apologies.

1) I am looking for authentic Colt parts for my Ar15a2 sporter, such as the bolt carrier group etc. Does anyone have a quality dealer that they would recommend?

2) Does Daniel Defense Ar15 parts fit my Colt?

3) Where is the best place to purchase a upper receiver without the H-bar for my Colt?

First question is: does your lower have a "fence" around the mag release?

If it does, is the front pivot hole .250" or .315" ?

If it is .250" any upper should work.

If it's .315" you are limited to Daniel Defense flat-tops made for it or if you look hard enough, a Colt flat-top will show up.

But you will probably need to assemble the barrel of your choice as DD are just bare uppers.

In the past, Bushmaster/DPMS/Eagle ect. All made aftermarket uppers for the .315" Colts, but mostly before flat-tops existed.
