I heard a lot of unhappiness about CC, but I think people should consider that CC is a maker, there is a middleman ( distributor) and then the retailers.
I asked CC staff directly about the C8A4, they gave me the straight answer it is a "maybe in the future". It makes sense, no one said anything about C8A4 in the army!
At the same time some dealer(s), which I suspect they got their stories from the distributor ( not NS ), are still wishy washy and has/have no problem with taking and keeping deposit.
I don't think CC is to take all the blame for some of the issues. Retailers get their stories from the distributor, and it is the distributor that took the stuff out of CC's warehouse to unload them.
People WANT CC stuff, and are willing pay a premium to be the first guy in the block. The distributor takes advantage of it by selling any new stuff as high as possible to retailers. Retailers took the blunt and had to go high too otherwise it doesn't make business sense. When things don't move the retailers got squeezed!
With NS taking over the SA line, the price will go down because NS is much bigger. They are not as scared as smaller guys when it comes to cash flow. 400 guns for them is not much as a deal. If they sell well, I am sure NS will be more open to make purchase of other models, because they can afford to buy up a bigger run and don't need to go for a steep price ladder like some others have to.
But do I believe we will see CC making SA rifles every other 6 months or 9 months - probably not. They are not a big factory and the market has to digest all the rifles before it makes sense to make another run.
