Colt Canada British SF IUR Uppers

Having held an MRR and a Danish iur with a 10 inch barrel installed in it... the weight difference is noticeable. The mrr is much lighter. Sadly I don't know the numbers. Just going by feel.

I don't see there being much weight different between Danish to British IUR for 15.7 to 15.7.

Thanks

I'll probably wait for the MRR uppers to hit the market next year. But this is tempting. Patience is not one of my virtues.

I hear ya. From a collector point of view this upper is far more enticing than the MRR. It is almost surplus, but not really.

From a shooter point of view, I want the 14.5 MRR upper more. Was quite impressed with how the 14.5 felt. Rail was a good length and very light. I know there are those that boo the IUR design, but with m-lok modularity I don't think I personally will be bothered by that. Adaptable enough.

These are nice... but I love my blem IUR upper. If a reasonably price MRR upper becomes available I'll be looking into that.

A few rich people will by these, but sales are gonna be limited.

Actually if I was still drinking the restricted cool-aid I would of bought one. ( Im far from rich ) Heck I had every C.C part they released. But the elections happen and I had to sell it all...

Now I just troll and say its overpriced... Hehehehehehhee

I love the offerings from CC so far. But man the prices are high for something made in kitchener. Great quality and the juice is worth the squeeze but its not like its an HK416 made across the pond with many reason for collector prices.

The seller. They only have to justify it to themselves. If people pay, justified. If not, lower until they do.

Is it just the collector status? Not additional features over previous IURs or just a generic shipment of IURs going to the SAS so that adds the cool factor with additional price?

Apparently this is the cost to the British.

Other than the Danish uppers, and the upcoming MMR uppers, no other IURs have been released. So these British uppers would be unique in that regard. Last I heard there were some 30 different colt canada iur variations.

Crap 30... I guess I won't be having one of each variant.

Well just look at the variations between the two British uppers, the Danish upper, the 4 versions of the mrr, the full quad rail version, the early versions with polymer access panels for the barrel nuts, etc etc. Adds up quickly.

These are considered the Gen 3 of the IUR. But each Gen has variations within the genre.

I think a lot of people are overlooking the BCG and charging handle being included in these SAS variants. The surplus IURs were just a barrel and receiver.

As everyone wants MRR Uppers, I split a couple rifles up.

11.6 MRR uppers and lowers now up for sale on our website as separate items.
Uppers include FA Colt Canada BCG and Std Mil spec CH.

Complete lowers with the Magpul furniture.

And thats worth a $700 - $800 premium? Na. Offer them without the BCG and CH, and maybe I would be interested, but almost $2,000 for an upper? Na.
