Colt Canada / Diemaco Civilian Market Rifles

There was a run of 4800 rifles made up for this.
The price was doubled by the distributer.
Only 480 of the rifles have been ordered from colt.

The CC barrel no matter how much voodoo you want to attach to it does not justify the $1200 difference in cost.

It's interesting to see so many people devaluing the Diemaco C8 based on one site sponsor's bargain basement 6920 sale (coincidentally, the same sponsor that would happily sell you a 6920 for over $1600 less than a year ago). I'm glad, in a way, that they kept the value high, 'cause it will remain somewhat exclusive. I wouldn't want one s'bad if everybody had one...

The only devaluing that will be done is when you're stuck with a $2300 rifle that's worth half of that.
Same happened to the guys purchasing Colt AR's a few years back when they commanded a premium, they were very "special" then, now that you can get them easily they're a dime a dozen. CC AR is the new darling of those willing pay anything for exclusivity, let's see how large that club gets when Korth realizes few are willing to play into their game and are forced to lower the price or Diemaco simply finds another distributor.

so,,let me get this straight,,because it's made in canada,,it's somehow worth double the US colt price,,>...LOL...you can get them now for under a grand from a site sponsir as well,,,

Then why don't you (and everyone else crying about it) STFU go buy a US colt $1000 Ar and let the people who want a Canadian Diemaco C7 buy one.

You're beating a dead horse and it's trolling the business forum.

I agree with you.

That being said. Is Wanstall going to offer new C8 barrel? For sale ?

To all those bashing it as being overpriced, the Canadian made colt c7s and c8s were not just chosen by our own army, but are also the standard issue rifle for the Dutch and Danish, and used by British and Norwegian special forces. I think that says something for the quality. I mean as great as a Norinco AR15 is, i think we all understand that a Les Baer is going to be of higher quality and higher price. I'll venture a guess the same holds true for the c7, c8.

for a c7 or whatever weapon that colt makes the weapons cant jam under 40,000 rounds and i know this because my dad is a tool and die maker at Colt Canada

oh they will jam i think 2 to 3 rounds out of the 40,000 and if it jams more than 3 times it doesn't meet their spec

Lets face it in Canada the field conditions are a nice range, because that is all this rifle will see in this country. Those #####ing about the price tag Diemaco is the Gold Standard for the AR-platform the barrels are particularly sought after. Even though there were no civilian sales some still showed up at competitions I've been at with Diemaco parts.
