Thanks for the input guys I know that this coating is fine and will not corrode or anything it just really makes me sad that I shelled out a ton of cash for a rifle this mismatched in color. I got some dirty engine oil I will try wiping a small amount on it lol. Oh well maybe once I get my optic (elcan os3) on it and some more range time I will learn to love her
