Buy a barrel that already has a gas block on it or buy a undrilled gas block and mod it.

I know police armours that have used these on Colt Canada rifles. The fit and finish is great.

If you're talking about resale value down the line, you prob want to keep the parts original and unmodified.

Just buy a lo pro gas block and use that.
