News from eurosatory- CSOR is adopting colt Canada assembled IMI Negev LMG in 7.62. Looks like they got the license to make and market to else where as well.

Good choice, a light weight 7.62 LMG. Maybe there is a chance of the 5.56 version to replace the heavy assed C9A2 bullet spray can in the future?

That's cool. I think CC just starting making the C6. They had them at SHOT. What's the chances of getting a close bolt semi-auto Negev?

from what I've read, it's not really field maintainable. Requires tools for working on...not sure how that will play out. Easy when you have support, not so much when you'Re alone.

Does it come with pretty IDF ladies?

NG7 can take drums too. I don't know the innards of the NG7, but the engineering is substantial if you have seen the semi Minimi in the US.

They don't like their FN Mk48s anymore?

I don't know. But the Negev is lighter, can use drum mag, is semi-auto capable and has a more stable optic mounting platform.

If it is as reliable and durable, I don't see why they won't take it over the Maximi or the MK48 version. The Negev is a more versatile weapon.

I thought someone was trying to get a Canadian legal semi-auto version built a while back when the Tavors were waiting to get a FRT.
