Just bought a CC parts rifle and I couldn’t be happier!

Barrel is from an SAS IUR rifle (10.5”).

How do I know if it’s a genuine CC barrel? Any markings to look for?

What markings should I look for on the upper?

BCG is marked with a “CC”. Does that mean it’s a Colt Canada?

Not asking because I don’t trust the seller. Just asking for my own knowledge on CC rifles/parts :)

Also, the lower has an odd rubber piece in it. Is this an accuwedge? Is it removable and should I even remove it?

CC = Colt Canada

You'll see that on the barrel and bolt.
On the upper, I think it'll only say Colt Canada and the cage code.

And yes that's the accuwedge. Take it out, if the receiver has a rattle, stick it back in. That's all it does, just tightens it up.

Can I still use my Geissele Mk8 rail on this build with a 10” barrel?

What is the length of the rail/handguard in inches on the 10” IUR upper?

Negative. The upper is monolithic, you'd need the CC wrench to remove the barrel even.

Sorry for the confusion.

This is being build from a parts kit. So the barrel is going on a standard CC upper. Will there be any issues mating the 10” barrel to a Geissele 9.5 Mk8?

My mistake, no you won't have any issues. The barrel will stick out just a bit to attach the muzzle device and the Mk8 will lock up with the upper.

If I wanted to swap my 10” IUR barrel for an 11.6” MRR barrel, is there a way to purchase an 11.6” barrel, or do I have to find someone to trade with?

You would need to find a trade and that is going to be the hard part. They ( the barrels) are not available separately and the original buyer would need the special tools to get the barrel off the MRR receiver, before they could sell you the barrel.

Good luck!!
