Wasn't there a mention of a 35th anniversary edition of a C7 for CF members? Is that still going ahead?
First I've heard of that, more details please, and hope it goes through

You guys that say CC don't make any of their parts should probably go do the factory tour.
It may serve you better than just random guessing or repeating regurgitated internet BS....
I'm down for one when they become available regardless of price or who makes what.
You only have to open one and look at the machining, QC, coatings etc. to see the difference for yourself between a real Milspec rifle like Colt Canada's C7/8 (which is NOT Colt USA) and some psudo "Milspec" gun like the DD that makes rails for the DOD Stateside.
I like Bolivar would love Colt to donate one to me because of my sparkling personality.
Same here. Then I would have an upper that my unit couldn't lend to basic training courses to be ruined.
If you read through all the posts there is talk of a 30 year anniversary edition that would be made available to any previous LE/Mil personnel. However it seems from the way this thread is going that these rifles will be made available to anyone willing to spend the correct amount of cash, what that correct amount will be is the source of much interest. I myself put a basic Colt Canada C7 at a value of around $1,750 max. if it is to be priced fairly, but no one ever said life was fair.Wasn't there a mention of a 35th anniversary edition of a C7 for CF members? Sadly the culprits aren't always recruits.
Cpl-MWO a person who orders a crown to be scraped clean is an ignorant prick.

my favorite quote from basic in regards to the C7 "there is a party in your barrel and i wasnt invited" (big ass MCpl to the guy beside me)..... then the rifle proceded to be tossed a few bunks over.
I heard they dont do that anymore. There were parts of some of the CFLRS rifles that almost looked chrome from being cleaned so much lol.
Speaking of vertical grips, when the C7 was first issued I learned to use the thermold magazines as a vertical grip just to keep the damn thing from dropping out on me. The first time in the field, more time was spent looking around the ground for your lost mags that fell out than anything else! I wonder if CC will include an old thermold to complete the nostalgia associated with this?
I remember those sh!tty thermold mags. I dropped one once on ex. It was full of blank ammo, when it hit the ground it split right down the middle and the blanks went everywhere. I kicked snow over the blanks and picked up the mag parts.

This today from The Firearm Blog: Colt Canada to Sell Rifles and Carbines on Commercial Market
Colt Canada intends to release semi-automatic versions of its C7 rifles and C8 carbines on the Canadian commercial market under the Diemaco name sometime this summer. The rifles and carbines will be categorized as "restricted" under Canadian law.
