Folks, just a question, I just purchased this SA15.7 first gen, I remember way back these have crush washers installed the other way around.

Are these how the issued C8s had their FH'scrush washers installed?

Also, I really didn't know that the simon sleeve is removable, so when I removed the FH.
The crush washer's one end is concave/cup-type on one side which has a larger surface/contact area than the its other side.
So it gets me thinking the concave area with larger contact area should rest against the simon sleeve, that's why it was installed this way though.

But still looking for the feedback of the diemaco experts here.
 
Thanks for the feedback, will leave it this way. I think the few googled C8 pics with simon sleeves, might also show this config, but the pics aren't the clearest though.
 
Appreciate that TK-Hryciuk.
I only have Colt USA carbines and was used to seeing the crush washer those ways.
But since this is my first CC carbine, I just wasn't sure when I saw that.
Also, now I believe the price point for these are justified by the way CC has made and put them together as compared to Colt USA.
I wasn't really interested in getting one until Blair and the libs were cooking that C-71.
But don't get me wrong, I'm very happy of this purchase! =)
 
Thanks for all the feedback. Was just leery when I saw it this way and I remember back in the day when the first time it came out, I read this comment already but really didn't pay attention to it until I had one.
