Colt Cobra

Are Colt Cobra's frames made of alloy? And is this a bad thing? I hear that they will not last as long as a steel frame revolver. This is of concern to me as I had my eye on a Colt Custom Cobra.

Most Cobras were alloy frame, they were designed to carried LOTS shot little
Not the ideal target pistol, but for up close defense ok

I carried one as a BUG for more than 15 years. I finally shot it so much that it got out of time. It was a good gun....light but very accurate.
