Fondled one of these at the Colt sponsored NWMC match in Oregon last year. Fantastic rifle. I don't like the Giessele trigger they install but that easily changed. Interesting gas block that is not as adjustable as one would think. Great option to shoot multigun and forget about tuning and tweaking because you are good to go.

I am not. I understood that it is a licensed product from a couple of videos.

Have you seen it in person and used it? Looking for hands-on, range-time experience reviews and comments.

Based on what info are you stating the above? Sources of information would be good if you can linked the here.

Specs are certainly comparable between the two, no question there - looking for backed-up data. One difference between the two is that the CRP has an adjustable gas system on it whereas the Stag doesn't IIRC.

Price point is the same.

Adjustable gas block is a bonus if that's your thing - which this rifle is designed/made for that goal. The barrel in the Colt CRP18 blows away many other barrels out there including the Stag. Colt has a winner here. Is it a REAL colt? Well its made from parts from other manufacturers similiar to other manufacturers offering this type of product. None of which come from the mother company but your not getting that unless your LE anyway it seems like these days.

For this rifles main task (shooting the piss out of it in multigun competitions) your much better off with this than a REAL Colt.
