Colt Delta elites

Had a shiny one, shot 500 rounds with it, was not accurate and was built loosely, sold it for another toy. Maybe if I had invest for it to go an overall gunsmith job, will it have been OK, but was not in the mood to invest in it. I am not a Glock lovers, but people I know who own one like them a lot in 10MM.

I have a G20SF in 10mm and it works well, like all Glocks, but it's still a Glock. No comparison to a 1911, regardless of caliber.

My first 10mm was a Colt Double Eagle, back in the 80's. I flipped a coin and picked it over the Delta. I ended up selling it because the trigger disconnected once. A few years ago I bought a Glock 20, and it's taken me that long to get comfortable with it. Two years ago I found a very nice original Delta Elite, for $700. I felt sort of the same way I did when I bought my '69 Chevelle. But, just like the Chevelle, when the novelty wears off you realize those old classics didn't really perform like some of the newer stuff. If I really had to pick one gun to fight off the zombies, it would be the Glock. The Colt is more of a Friday night cruiser.

Caliber doesn't seem to drive the 1911 vs. Glock debate there's a division between the two in every caliber (I like 1911's)
