I desperately need a new front sight. My father has been looking for a front sight for over a year and now has passed away and I inherited the pistol and now am searching. Any help in finding an original sight is appreciated! I have no intention in drilling it out and putting in an after market sight. I want as close to as original as possible. I'm in Ontario Canada. Please Help.

Looking for an original front sight for a Colt Gold Cup Series 70. Numerich is out of stock of the originals and the ones that they say fit are to wide for the slot on the slide. I want to keep it as close to original as possible and don't want to drill a new hole to fit the newer sights. My father has looked for a sight for over a year and has just passed away a couple of months ago and now I am on the search. Any help is appreciated

Brownells has many sights, and it's not a difficult job to replace them. - dan

I can't find one that has the same tenon size as the original! All the sights I bought, that i was told were the right size, have had a larger tenon then the origianl. Everybody tells me I have to drill to fit and i don't want to do that.

I tried Brownells and can't find one with the same size tenon as the original. All the ones i bought, that i was told would fit, have larger tenons.

Numerich is stating they are mot currently accepting Cdn orders (?). Can anyone confirm this with a recent order (last 3-6mnths) ?

Brownells has a narrow tenon front sight. Go to their website, enter part #584-006-545WB and that should give it to you.
It's made by MGW and you have to peen the tenon under the top of the slide. There are various ways to do it. Back in Mexico, I have
all the installation tools required to do it, but I'm not in Mexico right now and neither are you. But you can do it with a decent
punch, a hammer and a vice. I mean a bench vice, not a Miami Vice.

I don't know if Brownells is shipping to Canada now or not, but I ordered some PTX dies for the Hornady LNL from them back in March and they came
through fine.
