Why only one funny looking ear plug? :jerkit:

I had one similar to it in a series 80 about 7-8 yrs ago & missed it, I just had to replace it.....:dancingbanana:
Now to load up some ammo & burn some powder....:)

Thanks Walter!

For a good read on this pistol,....

don't think it's an earplug- more likely a chamber indicator- ie you stick that thing in the chamber to visually indicate the pistol is NOT LOADED- same deal as the stupid plastic disk on revolvers that goes over the back of the cylinder- i had the same thing on my original , but the originals came a cardboard/styrofoam box- if i remember correctly, the springy bit clipped onto the magazine follower, then was inserted into the pistol with the slide to the rear- you then hit the slide release, and the post did 2 things- 1 wouldn't let the slide go all the way forward,
2 gave a VISUAL indicator that the gun was empty, as both the chamber was blocked and the mag was locked in place with no rounds in it

If you aren't PROVE'ing your firearms, I guess that plug could come in handy...

In the U.S. they probably have to include the chamber flag by law.
In California I have heard that they have to include a fired casing in case they have to identify one later. That plus a built in trigger lock.

I think the Colt Series 70 Reproduction is one the ###iest 1911's on the market...a true Government Model .45. I got the blue model and love it, an excellent shooter. I used FRITZ polisher to give it a more mirror-bright shine, really brings out the brilliance of the bluing.

Good on ya for getting a beautiful Colt and supporting Arms East. He's a great guy and he's one of the few that are bringing Colts home to Canada. Nice!
