Colt is going to bring back the Python!

If Colt does reintroduce a "Python" model I doubt it will have much in common with the old Pythons other than looks and the name. As I understand it both the machinery and master gunsmiths that assembled them are both long gone.

Colt cannot re-create the best revolver they ever made on worn out machinery, and the hand-fitting & polishing jobs have long been displaced by CNC machines. Pythons are even beyond the Colt Custom Shop.
Be satisfied with Colt's newly re-engineered King Cobra. It has unlimited potential, but the market has shifted away from revolvers to autos!

If true the executives at Colt are idiot's the popularity of the Pythom while a top end pistol was glaring about 8 years ago with the Walkong Dead..now that popularity has waned some. It's only just a nice pistol now. Kind 9f like the surge on the Smith &Wesson with Dirty Harry'.
Kind of reminds me to question why the executives at basspro Canada still have jobs.... along those types of lines....
