CQB ONLY SET UP 30 YARDS MAX...THIS IS NOT A DMR...

I do CQB Competition with the ORA (30-5 yards).... So here is some ammo testing to see what works best with the barrel and twist rate.. Holding at the centre of target using XM193 as a Zero. This is the first time out with this rifle and just got sighting it in. The fine tuning will happen the next few weeks.

Hope this helps a few of us

in before the haters arrive!
Correct me if I'm wrong the IUR is still a military grade barrel and not match grade (designed for sharpshooting). If so those look pretty awesome.

It is rated at MOA.... So now it's a matter of picking the most accurate from here and heading out and practice...

If it's for 30-5 yards.... Yes it is.... When you are competitive every millimetre counts. I enjoy CQB, therefore I train and practice for the events I compete in. If it was service rifle (100-400) people are interested in, this might be the wrong thread.....when the time comes for a 400m competition I will do a build and test for that distance.. Until then, I hope this data helps CQB shooters...

Cqb generally isn't prone

So you want me to walk and shoot in 2ft of snow ? There would be no standards from round to round. Ya thanks for the input...

It's amazing how much Negative feedback there is.....It only cost me few hundred dollars to do.... Do you want me to dress like you too ? And drive the same car ? What is the point of me doing this ? So I can waste my time reading negative feedback? If you are a more accurate shooter summit a thread on a how to....

CQB your not shooting at zeroing targets either, Your shooting B27, Figure 11s, IDPA targets, or other man figure and worrying about 8x11 area center of mass.

Train as you fight, Or why bother.

Swiss Arms 100 Yard Ammo Test

The problem isn't necessarily relating to skills, but methodology. 30 Yards is too close to give an indication of accuracy, or even a good idea of what your zero is.

Additionally, you also need more data than just 5 shots. 10 shots gives a better idea of accuracy, and it is best to do a few groups in order to eliminate shooter error. Doing things like chronographing your shots and publishing the data also gives an idea for how consistent the manufacture of the ammo is.

With my zero this is my 100 yard..... I will be doing a 100 at a later date.... With a 5 round 5 groups it looks like The IUR will be a great shooter.

X2

I didn't mean to knock your effort but you're not accomplishing what you think you are.

I've tested my Iur on norc at 50 with a 4 moa red dot. No problems putting bulk ammo within 2 in group. Which I'm satisfied with. I'm not a long range shooter nor do I have the gear to do so. 50 yards and under for me.
