Colt King Cobra Target

Finally! Colt gets it right with a 4.25" barrel, not the usual 4.0".

I really like this new revolver! Probably use Safariland "L" frame comp 2's & 3's. Wake up revolver shooters!

If it is dimensionally the same as the original King Cobra, it would use the HKS MK-3A, not the ones for S&W L Frames and Ruger GP-100s (HKS 586-A). if you want Safariland speedloaders, I think you are SOL.

It is very thoughtful of Colt to bring out his model with a barrel length that meets the needs of our market.

From what I have seen of these on Shooting USA, they appear to be smaller than the old King Cobra.

S&W 686 in 4.25" is just as good and cheaper.

truthaboutguns wrote about the 3" fixed sights, and says size is between J an K...

From what I have seen on TV and images, it reminds me of the the Colt Magnum Carry they put out in the late 1990's:

In 1999 Colt introduced their last double action revolver model.

This was a version of the SF-VI/DS-II series revolvers built on the "SF-VI" frame.

This was a stainless steel revolver using the same transfer bar safety-ignition system as all Colts made after 1969.

The new model was chambered for the .357 Magnum cartridge, the first small frame Colt ever to use the Magnum round.

The frame was slightly thickened in the top strap area to increase strength and the gun was heat treated to a higher level.

Spoken like a true Smith guy, I will admit that I shoot way more smiths ,older ones), than my Colts, because the smiths are well used, and I have way more speed loaders.
Colt ones are not as common
I would love a blue one , 3 in barrel, But we can't bring in 3" so that idea is down the crapper.
I have the feeling it will not feel " right" , thought a KC is not a python.
