I am a noob so please be kind To mate a Colt LE6920 upper to a Stag-15 lower with a mil spec ACE stock and buffer, what do I need? Are the pin sizes different? Can I get a shim/bolt to make it work? Any loss of reliablity? Thanks for the help
You don't need anything they will work together perfectly
Oh, you "need" to ditch that "milspec" ACE stock becasue ACE stock is not part of any mil spec. Buy a proper stock like the Crane, Vltor or a magpul.......or just the good o carbine stock.
I love this place! Thanks Greentips for the answer and a little attitude in less than 15min! I like my ACE stock, for better or worse its on the lower. Was worried about larger pin holes on the upper but that is a non-issue. Cheers
Only the FCG pins on new production Colt guns are of a non-standard diameter, still no problem to replace as a lot of manufacturers make them. The upper is GTG. Enjoy the LE6920, it's the holy grail of the AR-15 world. Be sure to post a few pictures when you get the chance.
