Colt LE6920

Colt is "the gun". They are the ones who have been supplying the U.S. military with M-4's for about a bazillion years now, and they have to meet a standard to do that. They are what everyone else wants to be. Some are pulling it off. But colt has been doing it a lot longer than everyone else. Would I pay $1000 more for a colt? Nope. But the things do run, and they are high quality and they give you a warm fuzzy feeling deep down inside when you start dumping rounds through them...............Price tag here for a 6920 is about $1300 U.S. (what I paid for mine a year ago) Same stag is gonna run about $900. Smith, probably about what a colt goes for. BCM, which looks to be as good as anything colt is doing about $1000.
Can you get LWRC or POF stuff in Canada?

IMHO a Colt 6920 is probably not worth the extra coin over LMT or Noveske but a Diemaco (Colt Canada) C8A2...now that would be worth something!

Is the Colt really worth the price premium?

Is it worthwhile to by a Sag/Sabre Def/Bushy/LMT/RRA for (at times) much less money?

Is the Colt something that should just sit in the safe and never used?

Is it worth the premium price? Hard to say. Is it one of the best built AR 15's available? Probably.

That being said, a friend just got one of the Nork M4's, and I think it's great, especially for the price.

Also, as Greentips mentioned, there is more to it than just the chart.

Where in Canada are new 6920's going for $3000.00? I have not seen them anywhere near that price. But then I have not looked at prices for a while either. I think the last group I saw for sale was at a Quebec dealer for $1795.00.

LMT is quality enough to win government contracts, and the fit and finish on all I've seen is impeccable, plus innovative options like MRP quick change barrels make it versatile. There is nothing this firearm can't do as well as the colt. I have less exp but have heard the same about Sabre Def.

Bushmaster wins government contracts and they have had tons of problems, well at least based on the end user reports from the government agencies that bought those rifles.

The last batch was $2499.

I wish people would stop posting that chart.
It has mistakes and obviously KAC is not on it.

I and just about anyone would take a KAC over a Colt without a second thought.
So that chart is meaningless.
3-4 years ago when the market was taking off, it might have been a way to to track features available. Somehow it has turned into a bragging table.
Who cares if it has one heat sheild or they Batch test. That should not add $100's of dollars to the rifles that do.
