Colt LE901-16S, First in Canada

I think the trigger is long and lot's of slack. But it breaks clean. Reset is good but also too long for my taste.

I shot the LaRue OBR with the Geissele (SSA-E) and it was very nice, overall the OBR is impressive, however at 1.5 times the cost, I see the Colt as being more affordable for me. One of the "minor" dislikes for me is the old style M16 grip, I have big mitts and it just doesn't work for me.

So I finally got my hands on a 901:dancingbanana:. I had purchased some Pmags earlier in the year and now I'm finding out that I will have to grind down the rivet. I also see that the mag that comes with the rifle has the "over insertion" tab, other than that there are identical. Any other owners/operator find the some problem with the mags?, & does the feed ramps look like they have been "dremeled" I read a post post on M4Carbine about it and mine seems to be the same as buddy?

So just some "follow up" observations. I wanted to GunKote my rifle but the barrel nut seems "proprietary" and would require a special tool, which my smith did not have, also I had some concerns about the warranty if I removed the barrel this early on in the rifles life?. I did indeed have to grind down the rivets on the Pmags to get them to work. I also changed out the grip as well to a TangoDown and it had to be somewhat modified to fit, it wasn't a "drop in" replacement. This is just a FYI for owners or future owners. More to follow.
