Colt Lightning question

Hey all, I have a Colt Lightning from 1894, all original, and in very good shape, its a pump action .22, octagon barrel etc....

wondering if anyone has any idea what this is worth?

I am not looking to sell it, as its been in my family since new... just trying to get an idea for insurance purposes

Well, there was one for sale in the EE not to long ago for ether $700 or $900. It was in so-so shape, rough bore too.

so mine being in solid condition, not so so, should be a fair deal more... also depends on year it was made, state of wood, and type of wood in the handles... also round or octagon barrel
