Colt M4??

Welllll, the AP74 and AP15 were sort of different .... These classifications were determined in comitee, with no regards to the actual internals .... At least the RCMP now has to justify their determination of "variant" (even though there is no legal definition of the word variant, and I'm not aware of the RCMP ever having released a SINGLE technical report to justify their determination of a "variant").

The GSG5 is sort of different, since the marketing material clearly states that it IS an MP5 variant (no doubt to gain more US market share), and they took the manufacturer's word for it without batting an eye.

I'll bet you dollars to donuts that they never even bothered to produce an actual technical report on the matter.

IF the "M4" .22 gets classed as a "variant", it'll be based on the advertising pamphlets, not the actual inner workings, again ...

That's another thing that we should get the Minister in charge to force the RCMP to do, justify EVERY "variant" out there.

And look at the MP5/ GSG-5 look a like .22cal that came out last year, why is this a prohib. Get a grip we are all dreaming here

Email UMAREX and advise them about the marketing problems if the sell it as a variant. Help them sell it here.

right..................... I'll believe when I see it "available" for purchase on the website. These rifles have restricted wrote all over them, which is a shame. Sorry, I shouldn't be so negative, but you can't rely on the govt/RCMP to hold there word about anything anymore.
