Colt M4A1HB in Canada

Hey guys,

We've got an offer for a quantity of new, genuine Colt 14.5" M4A1HB SOCOM barrels. The issue? ...to my mind, they are very expensive (like $600) (EDIT to say, CDN$). Wondering if anyone has seen these for sale in Canada, and if so, how much were they selling for? Should we be interested? Don't want to order these and get stuck with them, but also don't want to pass on offering them if shooters out there want them. Comments/advice appreciated.

Description received includes: "They include just the barrel, extension, and barrel nut (no handguards, gas tube, or flash hider). Let me know if interested, they will probably go fast."

Whoa.. $600 US or CDN for just the barrel seems slightly high. That's how much I'd expect to pay for a complete upper minus the b/c and carry handle.

Good question. No idea.

These are very recent production barrels. I know Colt bought the NB technology in mid-05, but don't know if they are all produced with this coating, or if so, when they started.

The NB finish looks pretty normal IIRC, any idea how would these be IDed?
 
IF they are NB'd they will likely have a powderdy looking substance in the barrel (dont clean it out -- just shoot it). The OGA/Christians In Action 7.5" where done that way...

Just on pricing...given that the exchange is reasonable right now and if qty is being purchased then yes that would be correct pricing.

No quantity discounts at all, and a max of 10 on the table. The prices you mention are all well under the FOB USA price we have, before anything happens in getting them here, thus my question.

If there is a Canadian dealer currently stocking/selling these for less than $600, we won't order any. If not, and if there is demand, we will. It's also a one-time offering to us and I reckon the price reflects that.

Also, these aren't coming directly from Colt. Are already in private hands in Hartford.

I'd be interested in scooping one of these suckers up. Exactly how thick is the barrel under the hg's and would it be compatible with Knight's M4 RAS?
 
I'd take one but I already have a genuine Colt 14.5" M4A1HB SOCOM barrel, infact it is on a genuine Colt flat-top M4 upper come to think of it ;)

Barrel is .88 ish -- works fine with a KAC M4 RAS or RIS
 
kinda late for me to reply, but what does this item look like? any pics? is it an complete upper or just barrel? depending on what it is I might be in.
