Colt Model 1873 SAA Grips

Does anybody know of a vendor who specializes in quality stag grips for a Peacemaker? I recently bought one and want to change the std. eagle grips to custom stag grips. I can only find vendors advertising this service in the USofA.

Alright, if this is too much of an EE post I'll spin it differently. Is it recommended to send a pistol away to have grips fitted or can generic size grips be ordered and fitted at home.

Depends on whether your SAA is a real deal Colt or clone/repro. Not all the clones or repros have identical grips to the Colt SAA. And in the 3 generations of real Colt SAA's there are variations in the grips as well.

You can find makers online that can likely supply grips for whatever SAA you have. There will be generic ones that will fit or you can find a custom maker and send your SAA to them for fitted ones. The former are usually quite reasonable but the later will likely be expensive.

My 2nd gen Colt SAA .357 Mag. I do have a set of stag grips for it but no photo of it with them on it, though
