Colt or Daniel Defence?

Actually a DDV5 only weight 6.44 pounds according to DD's website.
And even the Colt website said the weight for Colt 6920 is 6.95lbs, so I dont know where you got your numbers.

And a standard M4 plastic handguard with the delta ring assembly weight the same as a standard DD handrail.

yep youre right was looking at an old post from colt defense, 6.95 pounds is correct

I suppose if you're saving close to $500 then go with the Colt, however if the Colt is only a $100 cheaper then I'd choose the DD. Saying that I do not think you'll be disappointed with either rifle. One other thing to consider is customer service/warranty if purchasing from different business'.

Reasons for the DD over Colt are in order of importance:
1.) Cold Hammer Forged barrel,
2.) Lighter weight,
3.) easier/higher re-sale (possibly)...

you can always add the dd rail to your colt after...
which brings me to my question what size (length) rail can i get for a colt le6920?

Of the 2 screaming deals on right now, the one from IRG and the DD from Wolverine, any comparisons of those 2?
I am not familiar with AR's at all atm, but from the sounds of it, the wolvering DD is a great buy.
I guess I should add, I'm a lefty - is there anything I should know before jumping into an AR platform?

Well now you're down to just the IRG deal as Wolverine sold out of those DD in a hurry. Can't go wrong with either. I would have jumped on the DD deal 'cause that meant I'd get my rifle within a week since they are already in Canada, ready to transfer and ship.

As a lefty shooter myself, no issues with shooting a right handed AR. Adding an ambi-mag release, ambi safety and charging handle does make operating the rifle a little easier but aren't essential. The brass deflector on them does a great job of keeping the brass from getting at ya.

if you really want a lefty ar, only stag makes them

i dunno the weight listed for the 6920 is 5.95 pounds! dd you're looking at close to a little under 7 pounds.
I bought a colt le6920 magpul edition from irunguns and in the description it was mark 6.8 lbs and on buds gun shop the dd m4v5 is described as 6.34 lbs.

Any how I have a v5 and love it and I also have a irunguns colt on the way.

From what I read dd fit and finish is above colt also dd hase a better barrel and the dd is a mid lenght gas system compare to a carbine lenght.

That is true but colt irg is 400 bucks less so thats 1000 rounds of ammo.

That why I bought one cause the value was unbelievable . But if price were equal I would buy a dd and if I could only have one of the 2 it would be a dd.

That said my transfer got approved yesterday and I can't wait for my colt to arrive!
