My point was that while it appears that this is a very nice revolver, probably a decent shooter and the new-found owner is happy he has it back, the extra provenience and rarity of the unit this it supposedly has is overblown. I saw the posted price for this unit in the EE and I believe that the purchase price was inflated for a gun that is not as desirable as a PYTHON in my opinion.
After all this is a discussion site, not just praise the other guy's gun site. Persons post ideas and pictures, we discuss and opine. In my very brief discussion I compared the price of this unit to that of a PYTHON for a similar sale. "Kelmar87" said this gun was made from 1969-1971. Not a lot of sales. Colt produced the Python from 1955-2005. Over a half a million made.
Even "Brutus" says the gun is neither here nor there.
