hope you can help...

just trying to figure out if there is any value in some stuff I picked up.

I've got a bunch of assorted 1911 parts not enough to put a gun together.
but mainly I have 2 1911 receivers, 1 is a colt champain colored anodised frame only and the other is an auto ordnance 1911 frame only, ( this 1 has a square trigger with the front checked and the front of the frame is also checkered. these would probably be good for someone wanting to build a gun from scratch.

any idea 's on value would be appreciated.

The silver colored frame appears to be a commander frame. Front dust cover appears shorter than the blued Auto-Ord frame?

I would buy it all if the price was right. What do you want for it? My .02 cents...

Probably 100.00 for each frame and another 75.00 for the rest of the parts. Thats just what I would pay, other may pay more.

Really,

I buy small 1911 parts like that in job lots for 5.00 to 10.00 each piece all the time. I have bins full of grip safeties of all shapes and styles. They are quite common.

Regarding the frames. The Colt frame is worth 100.00 to 150.00 tops, if it was a GI frame I may pay more.

You can buy brand new Norinco forged frames from Marstar for 99.00 if you are looking for a project frame. I also use Dlask frames (150.00) for my projects.

The square trigger AO frame is worth another 100.00 although personally hate square frame 1911's

Not trying to insult anyone, just my opinion.

Yeah, it would be nice to get it all for that wouldn't it? :p

If you give me the front and back parts of the Colt serial number I might be able to look up what it was originally. Is it aluminum?
I would have paid $300 a year ago when I was looking for a Commander frame for a project.
