Colt Python info needed

A very important factor to consider is the American market where VG to Excellent examples are commanding north of 3,000 dollars US. A 4" Python is unique as it is classed prohibited here and only available to a limited quantity of buyers...and unlike many of our prohibited class handguns, it qualifies with enough "points" to be imported to the U.S. where demand is high. Even including requisite fees to a broker etc. the price point still makes it potentially a profitable venture.

Most of us are aware of the current US pricing as it simply takes a search on Gunbroker to verify. The vast majority here want to shoot them so your point has less relevance in that regard. Plus if you buy into the export analogy and hang onto it for awhile what happens if the ability to move it south changes? Your limited quantity of buyers continues to diminish and in the end you'll lose.

The ultimate win is get rid of classes such as 12(6). All pistols and black rifles should be the same.

International had one a few weeks ago that sold almost instantly for 1500. I don't see the value as a prohib but the going prices on all decent prohibs are kind of high lately.

I'm not sure what you mean by that? By all means, do with them whatever you want!? I merely point out BNIB prices as a starting point to work backwards from. My export explanation was no analogy...it is fact! Americans are buying our guns every day. The prohib market is funny. Some desirable specimens still command very high prices.
