Colt Python

I have sold 3 this year and the last one was a early royal blue ( not all are) that colt did a tune on in the early "80's
single action trigger match grade, double ?? 4-5 pounds? I would guess, these are 8 in guns. BTW , prices all under 3k,
A early model S-W 586 will come close with a trigger job, and you will not be scared to use it.
I find stainless are not as smooth as blue and a pain in the ass to clean, blue helps to cover the spots you miss.
Bright nickel would be perfect if we could keep them under glass and a gun on the hip to protect them. ( you there Justin?)
have not had a nickel one for last 40 years, had a couple 1911's, and they where not shooters.
Ruger do what the colt does, of course, well built, strong , ugly, collector value -0.

THE COLT PYTHON - Royal Blue, Six inch BBL. Manufactured 1956 three digit serial # Range .
It sounds as nice as it looks ! Loved mine before "country wasn't cool" ! Lucked into from an estate 15 years ago.
Now it's Great to see all these big prices folks have been getting , but as much as I like money as the next guy , I'm thinking ;how could I EVER replace
this beauty if the temptation of big bucks ever came my way.

Btw. is the fact that Rick Grimes carry gun in the "zompocalypse", being a stainless Python , really driving prices for these beauties these days?
Anyone producing copies of same , only enhances value as it brings attention to how great these pistols are.

I've been very lucky to have a shooting buddy that owns a few Pythons. They are lovely firearms, the balance and feel are up there with the best.

That said, I picked up his S&W M27-2 5" as I preferred the trigger over the Pythons. Not saying the Colts have bad triggers, they don't IMO. Just prefer the M27 action over it.

Different strokes for different folks.
