Ive got word that someone might have a .22 Revolver for sale. Now that in itself isn't really interesting although supposedly it's manufactured by Colt. Im told that it has two sets of grips, one wood and one supposedly "pearl". It also has two cylinders, one .22 Magnum and one .22 LR. Now this is currently all second hand info so who knows exactly what is true or not.

He also said he thought the gun said peacemaker on it.

I am going to be getting the pictures though second hand within a day or two.

So what can anyone tell me about this? I do know that Colt made a rimfire Peacemaker.

He is asking $500 or best offer for the gun and if Im interested then I will be put in contact with the owner (owner doesn't have computer).

Colt made a few versions of their downsized SA 22. (There are also some versions of full sized SA 22's around, but every one I have seen so far was a conversion). Back in the 50's the Frontier Scout came, followed some years later by Peacemaker/New Frontier. These were all smaller versions of the full sized SA. Frontier Scouts were alloy framed, later versions had steel frames. Both Peacemaker and NF versions were available with dual cylinders (one in 22 LR and one in 22 Mag). Various grips were available, plastic, walnut, faux pearl and ivory. Good little guns (I have 3 at the moment),parts are still available from Numrich if required. Certainly worth $500 if all original in excellent condition with the box and papers to a Colt collector. FWIW - dan
