Were in Canada would I find the Value on a Colt SAA marked US with the inspector stampHN Gun made in 1880 was issued to US Army very good conditionand still shoots
A couple of things for you to consider. The martially marked US revolvers don't appear to come up for sale very often in Canada and numerous actual canadian sale examples for comparison are going to be hard to find. Next it has to have allthe "HN" (4) and "P" (2) inspector marks to be considered Army issue vrs civilian. Colt would reuse or rework any part the army would reject and assemble them on a civilian gun after the contract was finished for that specific US contract. The barrel length makes a big difference as the original condition 7 1/2 is more valued than an Artillery Model with the shorter barrel/mixed serial numbers. Obviously condition is everything.
The last closest comparable one I seen at auction in Canada in original condition 7 1/2 with visually full martial markings was at Switzer Auctions Ont. just in the last auction fall of 2020 for I believe $7300 (bid plus auction fee but not tax). That revolver was an Ainsworth marked first contract 8000 purchased US Army revolver so perhaps a little more desirable. Switzer has an online previous auction listing for you to go on and verify price and compare the condition from the picture. ...........Fitz
