I picked up a used colt 1911 s80 with a bubbad hammer and poorly installed LPA sight that Im thinking replacing, however I may not may not keep the gun so any upgraded would have to help resale value.

Need some feedback what would be best on that gun

two choices for hammer and two for rear sight, front is Hi viz fiber optic.

The grip safety affects what hammer will fit. A GI-style one only works with a spur hammer. Beavertail or Commander grip safeties are compatible with Commander-style hammers.

Gee that is as bad as I have seen, maybe blind, may not now enough to loosed the lock screw when adjusting.
I think I would go with a Novak sight and some of that may be cut out, or take the sight off and file it smooth, same on both
sides and cold blue it, to fix the slide , you would have refinish the whole thing, remember what I side about a red dot?
If you had the slide milled for one , problem fixed, but cost??????????????????

I think that would be about right, or 750.oo if it was a 70 ? if some one wanted a project gun , this would be fine, likely shoots fine as it is now?
If you id the work your self, it would pay, if not ,and you had to pay labour, I would just sell it as is.
