The SOCOM barrels were a special but the 425 barrels are the regular ones...

The $425 is the price for CMMG Socom barrel. CMMG has high quality barrels.

Does dangertree do any assembling of uppers? Say you buy a CMMG barrel and a stag upper? I'm not exactly looking to buy a whole bunch of AR tools.

Scarecrow, yes CMMGs will be available assembled as much or as little as desired, or CRAFM could probably put together whatever you need?

I think that was few years back. From what I'm hearing these days CMMG barrels are quite good.

CMMG seems to be doing rather well these days. And they ship to the sandbox quite a bit as I understood there owner, doubt they make subpar stuff.
