Likely not, dealers are having enough trouble getting 6920/6940's up here right now.
I know this is a year old thread...but I'm resurrecting it for one reason...does anyone know if there's an FRT number on it? I'm pretty sure it's a restricted variant but since the SCAR debuckle...thought I should ask? Anyone know?

It's an AR variant, what more is there to discuss r/e classification?
I know...just making sure it somehow didn't end up as a prohib...I thought it a fair question considering I don't have access to the FRT table...and I'm now thinking of bring one in via IRG. I guess I could have just sent them a PM but brought this up just in case anyone else was thinking about this rifle...

I'm not sure what the barrel length is on the sp901. As long as it isn't classified as an SBR in the US, IRG should be able to bring it in. They are great. Importing a nice pair of rifles right now. Sadly they won't be importing now until January 15 with delivery sometime before February 15.

Why would the classification of the SCAR have any impact on the classification of a completely different firearm that has been on the market for 50+ years?
Your biggest issue isn't classification - it's availability. These 901's are very hard to source as far as I can tell. I'd be willing to bet you're going to wait a while to get one. If you can find one, there'll be no issues on barrel length as it's 16".
On a related note, did you see the Coyote Bronze colour Colt plans to offer on the 901? Looks amazing. If they'd offer this on their LE6940 models, it would be epic.
